It’s my birthday! I’m not really a big fan of my birthday so I thought I’d turn the tables and do a giveaway. All you have to do is answer a quick question below and you’ll be entered to win a complimentary portrait session. Yup, it’s that easy!
I recently traveled to Tahiti and Moorea to photograph several of the overwater bungalow style hotels there. Thought I’d share a few shots from the trip to get you through until Spring actually arrives!
When V asked me to photograph A‘s baptism, I was excited since I’d never photographed a baptism before. Sure, I’d been to a few, but never shot one, much less an Romanian Orthodox Baptism!
In orthodox baptisms the godmother plays a large role in the ceremony. And by large role, I mean she’s involved in most of the ceremony. It was a fascinating ceremony to watch (and, of course, to photograph) as A received several sacraments. He’s a happy little guy, but the full submersion into the water was too much, even for him!
The after party had a fun nautical theme and the Romanian food – and wine – was delicious!
Location: St. Petka Orthodox Church
These are so gorgeous!!! Love.
It’s hard to believe that just two years ago, Cypress and Eric got married. I was thrilled to see them again to take portraits and capture some fun moments at Maddox’s first birthday party! Cypress did an amazing job with the balloons and bubbles theme!
I have to admit, I wasn’t feeling the Christmas spirit. All that changed the day of Karen + Scott’s wedding! Their elegant Christmas decor brought a wintery feel to the Florida heat and a special visit by Santa really got me in the spirit of the season!

Best birthday gift?? When I was 10 I wanted a cool blue purse, I received it on my special day filled with one dollar bills. I thought I was rich. I think it was only 10$. But I didn’t care I the purse, AND CASH!!
Oh by the way, happy birthday Lori!! Hope your day is great.
Thank you!
Happy birthday, Lori!
Best birthday present: We had just moved into a new house that actually had a yard, and my husband dug out and prepared a vegetable garden plot for me so I could indulge in my gardening obsession for the first time after years of apartment living.
