Looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday? Head over to Lake Eola this Saturday, February 12, for the SPCA of Central Florida’s 16th Annual Paws in the Park Pet Walk. From 9am until noon pets, pets lovers, and all sorts of pet related vendors will take over Lake Eola in an effort to raise $140,000 for the SPCA. Photographing these events is so much fun for me – hope to see you there!

So here’s a fun edition of In Print for you! One of my stock photos was recently licensed to appear on the cover of a children’s book called Animals in the Garden. So cute!

What a way to close out 2009! My second photographer, Jennifer Soltren, and I had an amazing time photographing Justin and Devin’s New Year’s Eve wedding! Both the ceremony and reception took place at the Lake Mary Events Center and Lee James Floral Designs and SoundWave Entertainment did an amazing job with the flowers and reception lighting respectively. As always, Arthur’s did an amazing job with the food including a “Chicago Dog” hotdog bar during the cocktail hour! How fun is that?!

I was super excited when Weddings Florida contacted me and asked if they could publish Jennine + Jesse’s wedding! The layout does a great job showcasing Casa Feliz, all the wonderful details that Jennine put into the wedding, and – of course – her pink wedding dress!

Thailand. Yes, I know. It’s about time I posted these. Back in December I spent a week on the Star Clipper cruising off the west coast of Thailand and Malaysia.

Caklempong, a type of Malay music.
Fixing the sails on deck. That’s quite the sewing machine, huh?

Thai beer. Mmm….beer.
I big puffy heart love this shot.
Climbing the mast.
Knot tying class.

Captain, my captain.
Hoist the sails, wenches! I kid, I kid.
Langkawi
These next two were taken in Phang Nga Bay.

Sailing off into the sunset.

I’ve gotten emails asking when I’m going to blog my Thailand trip and I promise you, it’s coming. Soon. In the meantime, here are a few water-y abstracts that I shot during the trip. I’ve been experimenting more with the water housing for my point and shoot and thought these were kind of fun. What do you think – love them? hate them?

Jesse LeNoir and his fiance, Brittany, were surrounded by family and friends tonight at Hamburger Mary’s to celebrate the premiere of season 7 of Project Runway.

Miss Sammy was a gracious hostess. She even changed into one of Jesse's dresses later in the evening!

Those of you who have followed the blog for a while know that I adore Project Runway. Season 6 was okayyyyy. I mean, the whole LA thing and all that and really, who didn’t know that Meana Irina was going to win? I digress. Even at that I was really looking forward to Season 7. I mean hey, we’re back in New York, right? Yay!
But then I heard news that made me super ridiculously over the top excited for Season 7. I was in Malaysia when I got a text from Brittany – her fiance, Jesse LeNoir, is one of the designers on Season 7! You remember their movie theater themed engagement session, right? The one where he, you know, made her dress!
Come out to Hamburger Mary’s tomorrow night for the season premiere party and show your support! You know I’ll be there!
